Birmingham 2022 - Participating Countries and Medals won in the Commonwealth Games

 The Commonwealth Games 2022 which started on the the 28th of July through the 8th of August 2022 is finally over.

The game is an international multi-sport event that occurs every four years among athletes from the Commonwealth of Nations and was hosted by Birmingham, England in 2022 

A total of 5,054 Athletes from 72 Commonwealth Games Association participated in the games as follows;

The State of Victoria in Australia will host the 2026 commonwealth games as confirmed by the Commonwealth Games Federation

Below is how the African continent was represented in terms of medals won

Nigeria - Gold: 11,  Silver: 8,  Bronze: 14 = 33 medals

South Africa - Gold: 7,  Silver: 8, Bronze: 11 = 26 medals

Kenya - Gold: 4 - Silver: 5 - Bronze: 7 = 16 

Uganda - Gold: 3 - Silver: 0 - Bronze: 2 = 5 

Cameroon - Gold: 1 - Silver: 1 - Bronze: 1 = 3 

Zambia - Gold: 1 - Silver: 0 - Bronze: 1 = 2 

Mauritius - Gold: 0 - Silver: 2 - Bronze: 2 = 4 

Tanzania - Gold: 0 - Silver: 1 - Bronze: 2 = 3 

Gambia - Gold: 0 - Silver: 1 - Bronze: 0 = 1 

Namibia - Gold: 0 - Silver: 0 - Bronze: 4 = 4 

Ghana - Gold: 0 - Solver: 0 - Bronze: 2 = 2 

Botswana - Gold: 0 - Silver: 0 - Bronze: 1 = 1

Nigeria finished overall 7th position and number 1 in Africa with All-time best record at the Commonwealth Games.
