I was at the market earlier today to buy some things. I was buying tomatoes and pepper when this man who was having an argument with some market women suddenly turned to me and started explaining his ordeal. He spoke at length while seriously explaining himself. I was listening keenly and nodding my head at intervals while pointing at the tomatoes I wanted the seller to pack for me. But the truth was that I wasn't understanding him. He was speaking to me in Yoruba. At a point, I tried to cut him short just to let him know I wasn't getting him, but he wouldn't bulge, he kept talking. The thing is that he wanted me to judge a case, but how can I judge a case I barely understand the foundation? I was silently praying in my mind for a miracle to happen.
